Plant ID & Diagnosis
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Plant ID & Diagnosis mobile application. By downloading or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before use.
By installing or using Plant ID & Diagnosis, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and that you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the app.
Plant ID & Diagnosis is a mobile application that uses image recognition technology to help users identify plant species and detect potential plant diseases or health conditions. Users may submit photos via their device camera or photo gallery, and the app returns identification results and diagnostic information.
Results are displayed on-screen and stored in your personal History, which you can access and manage at any time.
Important: Plant ID & Diagnosis is intended for general informational and educational purposes only. Results should not be used as a substitute for professional botanical, agricultural, or medical advice.
Plant identification and diagnosis results may not always be accurate. Do not rely on the app to make decisions regarding the safety of plants for human or animal consumption, treatment of plant diseases affecting commercial crops, or identification of plants in situations where accuracy is critical.
If you need expert guidance, please consult a qualified botanist, horticulturist, or agricultural professional.
You may use Plant ID & Diagnosis solely for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
When you submit an image to Plant ID & Diagnosis, you confirm that you have the right to share that image. You retain ownership of photos you submit. By submitting images, you grant Plant ID & Diagnosis a limited, non-exclusive license to process those images to deliver identification and diagnosis results.
Anonymized image data may be used to improve our plant recognition models. We will never publicly display your photos or associate them with your identity.
Your identification and diagnosis history is stored so you can review past results at any time. You may delete individual entries or your entire history from within the app. Deleted history entries are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
All content within Plant ID & Diagnosis — including the app interface, plant database, design, and underlying technology — is the property of Plant ID & Diagnosis and its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without prior written permission.
Plant ID & Diagnosis is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that identification results will be accurate or complete.
We expressly disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Plant ID & Diagnosis and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or reliance on its results, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid, if any, to use the app in the past twelve months.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of Plant ID & Diagnosis at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, through binding arbitration.
